How Hijama (cupping Therapy) cure our Diseases?

Hijama: A Sunnah for Healing in Islam

Hijama, also known as cupping therapy, holds a special place in Islamic tradition. Not only is it an ancient form of healing, but it is also a practice strongly recommended by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

1. A Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH)

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) himself practiced and recommended Hijama as a form of healing. He said,
“Indeed the best of remedies you have is cupping.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari)

Following this Sunnah brings both physical and spiritual benefits, as it is a form of treatment endorsed by the beloved Prophet.

2. Purifies the Blood

In Islam, Hijama is viewed as a way to cleanse the body of impurities. It removes stagnant and harmful blood, which can lead to various illnesses, promoting a state of purification for both body and soul.

3. Heals Physical Ailments

Hijama is highly effective in treating headaches, body pains, and other common ailments. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) recommended it for specific conditions such as migraines and back pain, showing that it is a natural way to relieve discomfort.

4. Spiritual Healing

Aside from its physical benefits, Hijama is also believed to help cleanse the soul. When practiced with the intention of following the Sunnah, it brings both healing and reward, helping one feel spiritually uplifted and closer to Allah.

5. Increases Blessings in Health

It is narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“Whoever performs cupping on the 17th, 19th, or 21st day of the (Islamic) month, it will be a cure for every disease.”
(Sunan Abu Dawood)

By following this recommendation, Muslims believe they will receive both physical healing and blessings in their health.

Hijama is more than just a remedy for the body—it’s a healing practice that strengthens the connection between physical wellness and spiritual devotion. By embracing this Sunnah, one can experience the blessings of health and faith together.
